BUILT TO INSPIRE
We’re proud to work with the Department for Education (DfE) on the vitally important subject of skills and further education. In early 2026 we created a joint, integrated campaign for DfE that brought together Skills for Life and Teach in FE into one narrative anchored in the construction sector:
- Skills for Life raised awareness of practical, accessible routes into construction careers.
- Teach in FE showcased how industry experts can step into further education and pass on their skills.
By uniting these two strands, we built a campaign that not only encouraged more people into construction but also highlighted the vital role current professionals can play in training and inspiring the workforce of tomorrow.
The Built To Inspire campaign, delivered by Teach in Further Education and Skills for Life, called on young people, career changers, and employers to explore opportunities in construction and FE teaching.
Working closely with the Department for Education team we created two huge, striking murals in London and Manchester showing England’s most iconic buildings, as voted for by the public, and featured construction heroes to inspire the next generation of skilled workers.
Curated by community-led arts organisations Wood Street Walls and Withington Walls, the murals appeared near construction sites and colleges in London and Manchester. Created in partnership with FE teachers, learners, and employers, they celebrate the vital role construction and education play in shaping England’s future.
Interviews and content with employers, an FE construction teacher and early‑career tradespeople - supported by new research - highlighted strong backing for the construction sector, alongside growing concern about the future workforce.
