ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE – HEALTH COMMUNICATIONS

We have an exciting opportunity for an Account Executive, ideally with experience in a healthcare communications agency and working across pharmaceutical clients, to join our growing Health Communications team. A science degree or strong science/health background is desirable but not essential.

As an independent agency, we offer the opportunity to think freely, shape communications and medical education programmes, pitch and drive new ideas, and really delve into communications and public affairs to help drive behaviour change in health.

Four is a full‑service agency, giving you the additional benefit of collaborative working with creative, PR and media teams across multiple sectors. This means broader exposure, faster learning and the chance to build experience across the full marketing and communications spectrum.

 

🚀 What You’ll Do

In this role, you will be a core member of the Health Communications team, with responsibility for content development and delivery across a range of healthcare programmes.

You will work on projects including patient advocacy, PR and communications, social media and medical education, supporting integrated campaigns for global and UK‑based clients across pharmaceuticals, med tech and not‑for‑profit healthcare organisations.

You will also take ownership of smaller projects, working with and supporting more junior team members, while collaborating closely with senior colleagues. The role offers the chance to develop a broad skillset, from event planning and communications strategy through to stakeholder engagement and data visualisation.

This is a hands‑on role that suits someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in producing high‑quality work, liaising and managing client communications and projects, and is keen to grow within a fast‑paced healthcare communications environment.

Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset are essential.

  • Experience in a healthcare communications agency or working on health clients, with strong commercial awareness
  • Close involvement in at least one healthcare communications campaign
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and engaging way
  • Proven organisational skills, including experience supporting or delivering events, and a strong team‑first approach
  • Creativity, curiosity and the confidence to generate fresh ideas
